When Animeikyou first started, we had only two rules. Those are the first two rules on the list. Over the years, certain occurences have caused the other rules to come into effect. We thought some of these things were obvious, but, well, obviously not. Please respect the club rules. They are in place to help everyone enjoy club more. Thank you!

1. No Hentai.
That means no porn.

2. No bothering other club members.
We know there will, of course, be a certain amount of this, but we basically mean don’t be a jerk. If enough members find your behavior objectionable, they can bring it to the attention of the officers, and you will be given only 2 warnings before being ejected from club.

3. No violence in the club room.
If you have a problem with someone, do everyone else the courtesy of taking it outside.

4. No constant reading of the subtitles aloud.
The rest of us can read, thank you. The exception to this rule is when there are long, descriptive paragraphs in the fansubs, and we wish to get through them quickly.

5. No constant, obvious commenting on the anime.
If you have something REALLY hilarious to say and you just have to say it, ok, but think before you start blabbing all over the place. We’re here to watch the anime, not listen to the novice comedy hour. Also, comments like, “wow, that was a big explosion” or, “ooh, that well was deep” get old FAST.

6. No Stalking the President (or any other officers, for that matter)
Laugh all you want. It happened. It wasn’t funny. We know exactly how to deal with it now.

7. No removal of shoes in the AA club room.
This rule is based upon a member whose foot stench was so great that it drove other members from the room. Respect your fellow club members, ok? Don’t expose them to the noxious fumes of your feet.

8. Members who do not practice proper personal hygeine will be asked to leave.
This rule is, again, based upon a member whose personal odor was observed by so many members, he was ejected from the club. For god’s sake, take a shower and do some laundry, or don’t show up!

Special Off-campus Trip Rules
1. Please show respect to the person who has volunteered to drive by giving them a few bucks for gas. The club doesn’t pay for it, and we’re sure you’re thankful enough for the ride to help your driver out.

2. If the person who has volunteered to drive is a parent, PLEASE be polite! We want this
person to be willing to volunteer again! If they have children with them, watch your language. This is basic stuff, here.

3. Handle your own money. We had one trip where someone spent all of their money on toys, and then let the parent driver pay for their meal. This is NOT cool. We don’t care if you borrow money, but don’t be a jerk.

Behavior Outside of Club
Please remember that whenever you are in a position of volunteering for any club event, you represent Animeikyou. You actions can reflect well or badly upon the entire club. We want to keep a good relationship going with the administration, so that when we need their help, they will be happy to assist us. Think twice before losing your temper. Thank you!!
